UNDERWRITING GUIDELINES

Our underwriters have extensive experience evaluating risk and strong negotiating skills that help them work with carriers. With requests for coverage, our goal is to make sure that each policy receives a fair and competitive price in line with established underwriting guidelines.

GENERAL GUIDELINES:

  • All job classes and phraseologies must be eligible under our guidelines.
  • All carriers are subject to a minimum premium.
  • A detailed business profile must be provided.
  • Backdating is not allowed. Effective date will be the date the application is received by fax or email by Agency Resources.
  • Loss Runs are required for any risk with an Experience Mod over 1.00.
  • Acceptable Experience Mod (subject to underwriting)
    • AmeriHealth – Up to 1.25
    • Amerisafe – Up to 1.60
    • AmTrust North America – No maximum experience mod; subject to underwriting approval
    • AIG – Selected states up to 1.25: FL, IL, PA
    • AIG – Selected states up to 1.79: AL, AK, AZ, AR, CA, CO, CT, DE, DC, GA, HI, ID, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MS, MO, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, NC, OK, OR, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WV, WI
    • Hartford – Up to 1.15
    • RTW – Up to 1.20
    • Travelers – Up to 1.25
    • V3 Insurance – Up to 1.29
  • All written declines will be issued through Agency Resources.
